Neetu Chandra admitted in hospital

Neetu Chandra, who has been paired up with Jayam Ravi for Aadhi Baghawan, recalls the day she suffered a bullet injury. This happened during the shooting of Aadhi Baghawan, which is being directed by Ameer. The actress and team were in Thailand canning a shot in which she was required to walk down from the car to a ship during a fight sequence.

Unfortunately, a bullet just scrapped through the actress’ lips and the lady suffered bleeding injuries. She was administered first aid immediately and rushed to a hospital for further treatment. Neetu is recovering from the injury and has been advised rest.

Neetu Chandra as a heroine for thala

Thala Ajith will team up with Venkat Prabhu for his much awaited 50th film, which is produced by Dayanidhi Azhagiri of Cloud Nine Productions. This Venkat Prabhu-Ajith multi-starrer is tentatively titled Mangatha.

Venkat Prabhu is currently holding talks with a Tollywood superstar (rumoured to be Nagarjuna) for playing another lead role. Yuvanshankar Raja will score the music while Sakthi Saravanan is expected to handle the camera. If all goes well, the project will go on floors in the first week of August. Earlier there were reports that the sensational Anushka will be Ajith's heroine in Mangatha but now it is learnt that Neetu Chandra is likely to play the female lead.

Madhavan and Neetu Chandra as husband and wife

After a good attempt in the movie “Yevano Oruvan”, Chocolate boy Madhavan has started his next project ‘Yaavarum Nalam’. Adlabs, a corporate style film making company is highly impressed with Madhavan’s talents and market and is producing Vikram K. Kumar’s Yaavarum Nalam, a Tamil-Hindi bilingual starring Madhavan and Neetu Chandra. The film is a family story with no fights or action sequences, but the director promises that the film be as gripping as an action thriller.

The film also stars Saranya, Telugu actor-director Ravibabu and TV actor Ameeta. The technical crew of the film is a highly talented group of individuals. P.C. Sreeram is the cinematographer and art direction is by Samir Chanda (he has worked in films like Rang De Basanti, Krrish, Guru). Music for the film is by the trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The heroine is Neetu Chandra, who plays the heroine role in a few Hindi films including Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Traffic Signal.’

Director Vikram is keeping the story a secret. All is known of the film is that it is a crime thriller set in an apartment, and that Madhavan and Neetu Chandra play husband and wife roles. On a little bit of enquiry, we found out the reason for the title. In the film, a TV serial called ‘Yaavarum Nalam’ takes place. Since this TV serial plays an important part in the film, the film title is also the same. Made simultaneously in Tamil and Hindi, the cinematographer is P C Sriram. On hearing the story, he accepted immediately. This is an indication of how unusual Vikram’s story must be.
