There were reports that reigning Tamil-Telugu actress Kajal Agarwal is likely to be the lead lady in actor Simbu's Tamil remake of Salman Khan’s super hit Dabangg. But the makers of the Tamil version made it clear that Kajal Agarwal will not be part of the film.
Apparently, they are looking for a top heroine from Bollywood and efforts are on to make Sonam Kapoor sign on the dotted line. Notably, the original heroine Sonakshi Sinha refused the role in Tamil remake.
There were also stories that Katrina Kaif might do the film, since she has already worked in some South Indian films. Dabangg is being remade in Telugu as well with Pawan Kalyan in the lead.
