Kavya Madhavan wants to conquer the controversy

Actress Kavya Madhavan, the leading heroine in Malayalam, is one of the controversy-free actresses in recent times. There was not even a single controversy or scandal about her.Kavya Madhavan will try to conquer the controversy surrounding her and will start shooting for her next movie, Shivaranjini, in a couple of weeks. The actress found her reputation getting sullied with rumours about her and a fake swami in Kerala.

But now, Kavya is ready to be back in action. A talented classical dancer, this is the role that Kavya was waiting to do for a long time. Although the actress was able to do classical dances in films, this is the first time that she managed to grab a full-length character as a classical dancer.

Produced by Maharaj Creations, the film will be directed by debutant M.R. Suresh. Mohandas Peingaavu writes the screenplay and the songs are penned by Kaithapram. The locations selected for the shooting are Thanjavur and Palakkad.

Meera Jasmine in glamour role with reema

Kollywood homely actress Meera Jasmine ,in one of her new Telugu films titled as ’Yamagola’ directed by Srinivasa Reddy.In which she has made a special appearance in a song sequence along with Reema Sen who plays a cabaret dancer in the movie. In fact, this song was full of glamour.

People who saw the film say that Meera Jasmine was so glamorous that she even overshadowed Reema Sen! It is also said that the Censor Board had to use its scissors to cut 32 shots from the song. Now it is the turn of Tamil audiences to get enamoured by these two divas dancing together in one song, since this Telugu film is now being dubbed in Tamil as Indraloka Ilavarasan.

This comedy entertainer tells the story of a a celestial prince, who has affairs with the three heavenly beauties Ramba, Urvasi and Menaka. He comes back to earth without the knowledge of Indran on a mission. The so-called prince meets a cabaret dancer Reema Sen in a club. Seduced by her beauty and glamour, he falls in love with her and is embroiled in a messy situation when he continues his relationship with her.And this movie will hit screens in July in 16 theatres. Maybe it will come to Malayalam soon!

Simbu's 'Pooda Poodi' posters

Here are some innovative posters for kollywood little superstar Simbu’s flick Pooda Poodi. Simbu who is back to work, after his leg injury will start with his project Pooda Poodi after Silambattam.
Silambarasan is considering locations for this movie and one of the possible locations would be Orilla City in Canada, which the little superstar visited during his recent visit to Canada.The film Pooda Podi will be directed by Vignesh Siva, who is a childhood buddy of Simbu. Poda Podi still has no heroine associated with it.The rumors around Varalakshmi, daughter of Sarath Kumar making the debut with Simbu has been not been confirmed and Sarath seems to have spoken against such rumors in one of his blogs.

Simbu's 'Poodaa Poodi' Heroine search still continues

Silamabarasan is back to what he does best… Yes… creating ripples in the industry by his ‘out of the box’ thinking. During the shooting of Vallavan, the posters of the film triggered shock waves and excitement in the city and the same trend continued even in Kettavan when the film’s posters became a topic of discussion among film buffs. Now with his next film Poodaa Poodi, the stills released have raised the curiosity to an all time high and has been the most discussed topic in various portals.

The major portion of Poodaa Poodi is scheduled to be shot at Toronto, Canada. Sarath Kumar’s daughter Varalakshmi was said to be considered for the role of heroine but was ruled out later. Ileana making suicide attempt

Ileana’s suicide attempt rumor is circulating among the media from the last two days. But it is said that this rumor is turning into truth. It is said that on Saturday morning she attempted for a suicide and the reason is hinted to be a love failure. This news has been leaked out by a close source to her.

Presently, Ileana is in Mumbai and is isolated from the media. Her mother is responding to all the calls made on her cell phone and is disclosing this to be a baseless rumor. When she was asked to let her daughter speak to the media at least on phone, she denied it by saying that, Ileana was sleeping.

But when the matter was unwrapped out from the maid of Ileana’s house, her suicide attempt has turned out to be a fact, as one of them reported it to be true.

Nayanthara says no to bikini

Kollywood hot siren Nayantara appeared in a two-piece bikini which was the main highlight of Ajith starrer Billa.And it was the first time for her to appear in bikini. She became a sensation with her two-minute bikini scene that catapulted her to the top in Kollywood. But Nayantara now swears that she will never wear a two-piece for a film again!

"I still get compliments for my bikini shot in Billa. It’s been a while since its release, but my look in the film has received wide appreciation. I was given an option to wear a one-piece swimsuit if I was not okay with appearing in a bikini. But I was aware that I had the right attitude, so when I wore it for the shot, I was really comfortable. Rumours were there that I was paid a bomb for wearing the bikini, but there"s no truth in it. I will never wear a two-piece for a film again! I’ve done it once and I’m happy the audience accepted me. So if I did it again, I don’t think it’ll remain special. I also believe in doing things just once and I don’t believe in repeating my act," she revealed to a national news paper.

"I’ve been dragged into controversies unnecessarily. So I like to keep to myself and spend time with my family. I do my work, give it my best and head home. Because at the end of the day, it’s your work that matters. I haven’t thought about moving to Bollywood. Work here keeps me busy. When I’m not shooting, I watch films or hang out with friends. I’m very close to Ramya Krishnan and her family. She’s been with me through thick and thin. I like maintaining a balance between work and friends. I’m feeling very content right now and am happy staying down South," she said.

Nayantara plays a guest appearance in the upcoming Rajini movie Kuselan which will hit screens in July. It is the third time she acts opposite Superstar Rajinikanth. She has two songs alone and a couple of scenes with Rajini. She appears as Cleopatra in one song.

Madhavan's leelai changed 'Naan Aval Adhu'

The filming of horror thriller ’Naan Aval Adhu’ is almost over now and dubbing is in progress. Starring Madhavan, Sadha, and Samitha Shetty, it was named ’Leelai’ earlier, but now, the name has been change to Naan Avan Adhu.

The debut director is Kona Venkat, an incredibly talented and prolific scriptwriter in Tollywood who has worked in Hindi films too. Music is by G.V. Prakash, who is making big strides in Kollywood just like his uncle A.R. Rahman. Cinematography is by Srikanth and art direction by Bhupesh. The film is slated for worldwide release in August 2008.
