With the actress steadily climbing the professional ladder, she is keener on having her profile complete with a Rajinikanth and Ajith film. Tamannah has expressed her desire to be a part of Rajinikanth’s film, as she feels that it means reaching the pinnacle.

The first clips of scenes from the film are out in the promos of the special programme on the film’s audio launch to be telecast on Sun TV.

It looks like to be another typical Vijay mass masala which his fans are sure to lap up.

Meanwhile the trade is abuzz that Vettaikaran overseas rights has been snapped up by a Singapore based new player in global Tamil film distribution for a whopping amount.

Remember Vijay has the largest overseas market after the two veteran superstars Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan?

Now one of the biggest attractions for Vijay fans is the huge vinyl hoarding that has come up at Sathyam Cinemas car park in Chennai (see pic).

Now the latest to join this crazy jovial team is Silambarasan! It is said that the actor will be coming in the course of the movie in a cameo role. However, he won’t be featured along with Nayantara, instead will appear in a separate sequence, sources said.

Jai, Vaibhav, Premji, along with Silambarasan? Wow! Looks like altogether the guys will surely bring down the roof with their wit and gimmicks.

The film has fiver heroine- Sangeetha, Lakshmi Rai, Swetha Menon, Hema Malini and Rachna Maurya. The buzz is that there is an overdose of glam in the film which made the censors scissors happy.

The music is composed by Vijay Antony. Nemichand Jabak and Hitesh Jabak, the producers of the film is releasing it big on Nov 27.

Hero Manchu Manoj Kumar is known for his offbeat approach on screen but it appears that he seems to be doing the same off the screen as well. That was the buzz making rounds by those who saw his antics at the star night that took place at the Gachibowli stadium.

Well, it was Manoj’s behavior with the birthday girl Anushka that caught attention. Apparently, for one of the songs that was being sung on the stage, Manoj was giving erotic expressions to Anushka and she was giving stop it expressions. This was also shown live on TV channel.

Those who were around thought that this looks quite disgraceful given the family image and culture of Manchu Manoj and his father. While this may have been for fun, but those who were present in the venue could not help but sharing these thoughts due to Manchu Manoj. Many underlined that Manchu Manoj couldn’t control his heat while sitting beside Anushka.

The actress says with her captivating smile, “I am in Hyderabad on location of NTR’s Adurs. It will be a normal day. My phone has not stopped ringing since last night. I feel so happy and special when my friends call up and wish me. My friends who flew in from different places arranged for a small, surprise get-together and we cut a cake last night”.

So what is she planning to do today? Adding mystery to her already mysterious nature, she smiles: “Maybe another small get-together with close friends in the evening”.

Nayan will complete Adurs and has signed two films – a Malayalam film with director Shyamaprasad and a Tamil film opposite Arya.

A section of the media has reported that she stopped signing new films in Tamil and Telugu and is refusing to wear glamourous outfits these days. But quizzed about this she says: “ I have to get good offers and I’m open to films in any language as long as the script and other factors are favourable”.

2009 has been a very strange year for Nayan, both professionally and personally. She concludes: “ I am extremely happy and nothing upsets me right now. God has always been kind to me and I can’t ask for more”.

The lady says that the shooting in France was a unique experience and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Sameera also disclosed that one of the scenes required her to mouth some French dialogues and she was able to do it perfectly as she knew the language well since her school days.

Ravi's brother Raja, the 'remake king of Kollywood', is all set to cash in on Ravi's new found image. Remember Raja normally remakes from Telugu family subjects laced with sentiments and a bit of action.

This time Raja has gone for the remake of Ravi Teja's action packed Telugu film Kick, which will be Thilalangadi in Tamil!

Ravi works best under Raja and his home production Jeyam Company run by dad Editor Mohan, who will be producing Thilalangadi. The film has Jayam Ravi paired opposite Tamanna for the first time along with Shaam who will play a cop with negative shades and Vadivel will be in charge of the comedy department. Yuvan Shankar Raja will provide music. It will be Ravi's big 2010 summer release.

She is going to play Sathyaraj’s wife in Ganesh Venkatram’s new Selva directed Muriyadi produced by Kavithalaya.

Lalitha Kumari had remained a housewife as Prakash did not like her to work. Now she is making a comeback in K Balachandar’s production house, the director who introduced her into films.

She has done 30 odd films like Pulan Visaranai, Maapillai etc.

Lalitha Kumari told a Tamil newspaper: “It is good to be back in movies. I’am open to doing more films in character roles.”

The actor’s closer circles whisper that he has made friends with make-up artists of Hollywood. Looks like the actor is planning to use one of them to style him up for ‘Vaaliban’! Silambarasan will be transforming into an ultra modern youth who is 16 years old in ‘Vaaliban’. Though the character is one, he is enacting a role of a teenager who transforms his looks and attitude inside and outside his home (almost like double action).

Silambarasan has finished the photo shoot of this one and has also selected his lady love! But, is keeping it hush-hush and will reveal it on the film’s launch that is to happed on December 4th.

Buzz up!It is said that Thiruttu Payale and Santosh Subramanyam fame Kalapathi S Agoram will produced the film, which is a romantic comedy with leading artists. The buzz is that Prabhu Deva is keen on casting Nayantara as the heroine for the movie. But Jayam Ravi is said to have strongly refused this suggestion and requested the director to go for a new heroine.

Actor Jayam Ravi is busy with commitment with his brother director Raja and ace director Ameer (Kannabiran). After completing it, the movie will go on floors.

Sources say that there are no parties or celebrations and Kamal will have a quiet dinner with Gauthami and kids at home. Meanwhile the buzz is that Kamal has finalized his plans to do a historic with Mysskin which will start rolling by January.

In the next few weeks the actor and the director will be finalizing the final points of the script and will also be doing casting for the film.

According to the producers, "there was a huge demand for the remake rights of the movie. Thank Almighty, we won the bid. The movie is a mix of action, romance and sentiments."

Mithran Jawahar, who directed Dhanush for 'Yaaradi Nee Mohini' and the to-be released 'Kutty', is wielding the megaphone for this one too. The movie is currently being remade in Kannada starring Puneeth Rajakumar and Priyamani in lead roles.

K Vishwanath had already signed up Allari Naresh for this project and is now said to be scouting for another heroine.

It is worth a mention here that Shruti in a recent interview had mentioned that she is yet to make up her mind on the career choices available in the film industry

Acclaimed cinematographer Santhosh Sivan had proved himself to be the best in the field in quite a number of films. And now the master craftsman is finally going to prove himself in front of the camera too. He will be donning the role of renowned painter Raja Ravi Varma in the new Malayalam movie to be directed by Lenin Rajendran. Titled as ‘Makaramanju’, the movie will be a period film. We hear that the project that was planned a year ago took this long to start off as the actor turned cinematographer was busy with Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’.

‘Makaramanju’ will also be special as it will be the launch pad of Karthika, the daughter of yesteryear heroine Radha in Malayalam. Karthika who debuted into filmdom with the Telugu movie ‘Josh’ opposite Naga Chaithanya is doing her final year of school in Mumbai. Radha’s daughter has started her career in Telugu and Malayalam. So, when in Tamil?

Sources say that shooting of ‘Makaramanju’ will start off next week in Thiruvananthapuram and later in the sun kissed shores of Goa.

The actor admits that it was a tough ask for a 40 plus man to look like a 20 year old. He had to work on his mind, body, body language and even his wardrobe single-mindedly.

Aamir confessed that to look like a 20 year old he borrowed the look and wardrobe style of his Ghajini director AR Murgadoss.

Says Aamir: “There is a boy’s look about him and the thin Murgadoss always wears worn-out clothes and T-shirts that are two sizes large”.

He also added that he borrowed a couple of oversized T-shirts from his Ghajini director! Murgadoss has become a style statement and that too endorsed by one of the biggest stars in Indian cinema.

"Not just Dhanush, but each and every member of his family, including his wife Aishwarya (daughter of 'Superstar' Rajinikanth) are close to me. We are more than just friends," she said.

Dwelling more on the 'relationship', the actress said, "when we are shooting for 'Kutty' near Tirunelveli, Dhanush asked me to visit the famous Nellaiappar temple. I had been to the shrine thanks to him and it was a marvellous experience. This is just an example and Dhanush has recommended me many other good things too."

The Asal team, which has returned after a hectic schedule in the European countries, has immediately set to work in Chennai. The unit, including Ajith and Sameera Reddy, was spotted in a posh apartment complex in Chennai.

Our sources in Kollywood say that the Asal team will move in to the AVM Studios to can some of the important shots.

The untitled film produced by R Mohan (the man who first introduced mosquito mats under the brand name Good Knight in India), is a remake of the off beat Malayalam super hit Nandanam written and directed by Ranjith.

It was the debut film of Prithviraj and Navya Nair, a beautiful love story and showed the power of a devotee of Lord Krishna of Guruvayur.

In the Tamil version Prithviraj will do what he did in the original and Nadodigal girl Ananya will play a devotee of Lord Muruga. It is the only change that writer Viji who is doing the script is making to suit the Tamil Nadu nativity, as Lord Muruga is a very popular deity in the state.

The shoot of this film will start in Palani from the third week of November.

Most importantly, Silambarasan has visited a lot of first-assistant directors of Hollywood in Los Angeles and has enquired about the Hollywood productions.

Whenever the hero starts on such tasks, his close friend would accompany him every time. And that close buddy is our Trisha dear.

After knowing Silambarasan’s aptitude and interest in film making, the girl wished him best of luck. Trisha has also gifted him a software that is used to build auto story board by Hollywood Script writers. And Silambarasan who did not expect such a thoughtful gift from Trisha was very happy about it, say the sources.

The climax portion of Goutham Menon’s ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya’ was canned in New York.  But then sadly, the film’s team was not able to complete the full shoot as it was planned. So, the director decided to match the remaining part in Chennai.

Sources close to Silambarasan say that, he feels that ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya’ is a milestone in this 25 years long career.

Anna Singh is designing her wardrobe in the film; with the emphasis on ethnic wear mostly Sari’s and Salwar’s. Priyan is very particular that Trisha be introduced as a North Indian girl in the film, and there are no traces of her south Indian roots.

Priyadarshan also pointed out that unlike his earlier slapstick comedies with Akshay, Khatta Meeta is a family film on the lines of Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Basu Chatterjee films, with lots of scope for Trisha to perform.

Meanwhile Trisha is supposed to have impressed everybody including Akshay Kumar with her Hindi. Before the shoot she had said that she can’t converse in Hindi even though it was her second language in School.

But she has taken the unit of Khatta Meeta by surprise when she spoke fluently in Hindi. Akshay Kumar immediately sent her a bouquet of roses with the note- “ You rock baby”!
