It wasn’t just this dialogue that took people by surprise. Prabhudeva, in fact, went on for more than half an hour about love and kissing. “It is only now that love has become an objectionable feeling. Even in Sangam literature, there are accounts of pure love. Everybody should fall in love atleast once.”
In fact, the actor then went on, to a group of enthusiastic students, saying there was no proper place for lovers in the city. “Love is all about exchanging emotions. There is no good place for lovers to exchange emotions too,” said the actor-cinematographer, who is in a relationship with Nayantara.
He then stressed on the importance of kissing between lovers. “It is an important way to express your love and now, we censor it in films. If given a chance, I will kiss my girl friend for even half an hour,” he said.
And just as you think the reticent actor has finally gone open with his suspected relationship with Nayantara, you may want to be told that all these were dialogues that Prabhudeva delivered as part of his film, ‘Kalavadiya Poazhudhugal’, directed by Thangar Bachan.
